Introducing...

Duplicating The Obvious

I went ahead and split my blog...here's the new music industry news source. Or something.
Well, it seems that Bobby is back with Orgy! We all knew he left and played with SRC for awhile, then quit there...according to Lou, he's back taking publicity photos with the band, and "I guess this lets you guys know who the drummer will be."
For the entire post, go here.

I know I posted awhile ago about how I HATE the people with no lives that sit around and make computer viruses. Thank you so much for completely disabling my ability to send and recieve email. One of these days, you'll get yours. Karma bites.

I should make a snack food called Karma Bites. Anyways.

You know, I've been thinking about splitting my blog into two sections...one for my life, one for the music news. Gosh, a lot has been happening lately. I almost feel my blog could be a news resource for people into this whole genre of music I'm into. Hehe. Welcome to my life...it can only get better from here. I really love this job.
But I think I'll leave it alone...for those days when I get lucky like Wil Wheaton and someone wants to publish my journals.

I think that's it, really. Been feeling a little sick these last few days...but all in all things are good. Hopefully, we'll be going to the observatory tonight to do digital imaging of the Orion Nebula. Speaking of which, I need to go get my class supplies for that. I'm lazy...

Not much going on, being that school was cancelled. Yay.

Just because.

Another cool day in music.

Me and Corrie went around town posting PSP posters. We're gonna be doing the big journey tomorrow and try to hit up most of southwest VA. Then we'll be off to an Ab Fab party, hosted by our very own Kate! So excited!

Oh, and the new interface for FluffyStarr.com is up! We had a lot of fun with that. Very cool.

Probably some of the best news is that amir-derakh.com is now open, along with a brand new julien-k message board. Yay! Go check out both.

Ahh...so much to write!

First of all, my shipment of Orgy promo posters came in, so I'm gonna have loads of fun putting those up this weekend. Also, on the D1 mb, clips to all the new songs are available for download. http://www.d1musicnet.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=omb&Number=211433&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 . Then, later on, my promo pack from Red Tape arrived, including their new CD that's releasing in Feb. I feel so cool, getting an advanced release and all, lol. Then, to top off the good news about music, PSP is now available for preordering, AND the first 500 people can get a copy of the advanced release for an extra 10 dollars as well as the official copy. That's so cool.

Classes are going well. I think my Astrophysics class will be my hardest, but it's a small class and it seems like fun. I'm only worried about having to make night commitments. The dance class is great...I'm practicing a lot on my own, which is fun. HODAT is HODAT and Design Lab is Design Lab.

Anyways, I'm off to grab some dinner and hit the bookstore I suppose. Whee...

So I just added Dave's 'blog' to the side...definately adding to the humor content on the web.

And, as if you couldn't tell from the post last night, the D1 chat has been resurrected! Come out and play!

Going to see Love Actually again for the fourth time tonight, lol. At least now it's at the cheap theatre, lol. But yeah...playing at the Lyric all this week.

Oh, and I did download some cool music mixing software...it's pretty cool. I'll be playing with that today, and I'll post whatever I come up with tonight. :-) Ah...fun times...

Fun times during the last week of vacation. Have to go get the oil changed in my car today. Probably should clean it, too, lol. I love my car.

Oh, btw, here's what I contributed to the ORWST campaigne. If anyone wants to use this but isn't in ORWST, feel free:

You can expect me to be on the Orgy kick for awhile. The new PSP posters are on their way to me now, so if you guys know of places that'll let me promote, aside from the obvious ones like campus and record stores, let me know. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
This album is gonna be so good. I really hope you guys all get it. :-)
Harddrive was really cool. I would have thought Jay's voice would have been different, so it was kinda wierd hearing him talk, lol. But it was really awesome to hear the new song on the radio. You know, I wanna find some software to do sound mixing. I'd think it'd be fun to do a remix of that song.

So, one more week before school...I'm so ready to graduate. I'm still undecided on what to do. Better start praying on that one.

Jeremiah got his internship! I'm so happy for him. I'm so glad he'll be away from here for a bit. Oof. Fluffy.

And, hehe, it just hit me yesterday that Steve will be here in a few days. This should be a trip. :-)

Anyways, back to the movie. You might not know which one I'm watching, but I bet you know who's in it. :D

Hmn...I guess I should be used to trying not to hurt a friend's feelings while working in the industry, but it's never easy figuring out what to do. Meh.

Tonight Jay & Amir are gonna be on Harddrive on WROV. Everyone give a listen!

HP words of wisdom:

"It's no good to dwell on dreams, and forget to live."

Just thought I'd share.

Anyways, had a good few days here. I finally figured out what was up with the intellabeams, so now they're working fine. Then today, I had fun figuring out how to do a water effect on the CYC. Yay for cheap-ass solutions!

So I finally talked to Steve. What a dork. I'm all worried that something's wrong, when in reality, what he wanted to talk about was us. He really is getting attached to me, it seems. So he's got his ticket, and he'll be here the 26th. :-)

It was great seeing Jeremiah again. Haha...meeting at the airport was totally like "Love Actually" - especially when I started singing that damn song, lol! We went to dinner (finally got carded, by the way...about time) and then hung out for a bit at his place. I like having a big brother. :-)

death
Death:
For you, you will always be committed to the process of transformation and change, particularly that aspect of letting go and moving forward. During your life, you may find yourself assisting others through divorce, handling the loss of loves ones. Or encouraging people to initiate new experiences or, literally, midwifing the birth of babies. You recognize that detachment is a form of objectivity that includes caring. Since you know the pain and suffering that attachment can cause, you are willing to assist others in teaching or modeling how they can love objectively and let go when necessary. You have the ability to experience life and relationships deeply, and also have the ability to let go or release situations and people when it is no longer appropriate or right action to stay attached.

So anyways, I dunno what's up with Steve. He called this weekend while I was in Maryland, and said that he wasn't gonna be able to fly in to Roanoke. Company wouldn't pay for it. Said something about going back to Springfield...then he said we'd have to talk. I can only assume that this means he's heading back to his ex. He called again today, but I couldn't talk, and when he was supposed to call me back, he didn't. Fuck it. This is getting annoying. I like him and all, but I want a guy that has his shit together. Hell, I could live off what he gets paid a week for an entire month. I just don't understand.

I'm picking Jeremiah up from the airport tomorrow. It'll be nice to spend some time with him again. I hope that this vacation did him some good.

You are Spearmint.
You are quick-witted and sharp. You pay close attention to details and you can tell what your friends are feeling. You are always the first to understand a joke and you are valued for your insight and advice. However, you sometimes isolate yourself from other people, afraid to share your own feelings.

What I can only describe as "The Dummy's Guide to Harry Potter"

Ok, so this weekend me and Corrie headed up to Baltimore. Hehe. Unfortunately, the movie was finished filming earlier in the week, so no run-ins with Alan Rickman. However, we still had loads of fun, and later that evening we went over to her friends' place to chill for awhile. It was cool to hang out somewhere not in Virginia for awhile.
