Jeremiah: Do you think if we cut off his head, anyone would notice?
Me: Probably not, he'd still be talking out of his ass.

Me: I don't know what's up with my computer...it runs it's virus scan like every 2 minutes.
Heather: Your computer is a hypochondriac.

Selected words to live by:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their
shoes.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably
worth it.

Some days you are the bug; some days you are the windshield.

Never miss a good chance to shut up.
[Nad] if you run Aguilera through a spell checker
[Nad] the first three suggestions are "Uglier, Easier, Girl"
[Valdyr] LMAO

Zeta Vande: so I'm exploring possible battery operated power sources for JB
LTek1: for what kind of lights?
Zeta Vande: anything at this point
LTek1: hmm
Zeta Vande: I'm just trying to think of common, inexpensive types of lighting that we could find...and then see if any of that might be useful
Zeta Vande: like, tap lights could be interesting
Zeta Vande: the actors could turn them on and off themselves during the show
Zeta Vande: I'm just trying to see if they have colored ones, or figure out a possible way to make them colored without looking bad
LTek1: not much output.. but for some little hilite stuff that might work.
Zeta Vande: yeah
Zeta Vande: I found sports balls tap lights, so I'm thinking someone has to make just plain colored ones
LTek1: if you put gel inside the existing lens/dome thing, that might work.
LTek1: haha.. sports balls. That'd probaby not work. :-D
Zeta Vande: hmn, yeah...haha, Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing soccer
LTek1: Football.
LTek1: (he's in paris)
Zeta Vande: LMAO

Whee...second to last day of vacation. So the kitchen is finally finished...now I'm just chilling before my mom's Sunday school class comes over. Me and Dana checked out a band I found last night...they were really cool. Their name is Ether III, and if you guys get a chance to check them out in the Roanoke/Blacksburg area, you should.

Other than that, just transfering random bits of information to my new laptop before I come back to school. I was stupid and left all of my installation cd's at tech, so I hope everything works, or I'm gonna be screwed for a few weeks.

Some cool stuff is gonna be happening at D1 soon...my new radio show is airing this week, and I'll be uploading Valdyr's Vixens II as soon as our new connection is up. Also, me and some more of the interns are doing a talk show, so I'll post more about that as things get going. The Friday Night Guest Chats should be up and running here again soon, too.

So now I'm taking my last few big breaths before I dive back into school work, Jacques Brel, TVM, and Human Rites...

Zeta Vande: I need a travel-sized Fluffy, lol
Count F1uffy: lol, would that be a Pocket Fluff?

"I will not sign any bill that cuts education"
I'm holding you to that, Mark.
Nad0725: "Don't worry, i bought some shampoo, and the crabs will be gone tomorrow" is the top excuse for not having sex
Zeta Vande: is that your top excuse?
Nad0725: i don't have to make excuses...

So I don't know what's up with this blog...half the time the archives aren't listed...and I know you guys miss being able to read every dumb thing Dana ever said. But in actuallity, if I wrote down every stupid thing out of his mouth, there would be no trees left. Maybe someone could figure out how to make paper out of crabs.

(hehe, sorry, you know I gotta pick on you even here...)

But anyways, I got a car last week. '99 Honda CR-V. It's sweet. So I'm gradually paying back my parents by painting the house. Not so sweet. I mean, it's good resume stuff, but damn that kitchen is huge. It's hard to squeeze in painting when I've resolved to sleep at least 12 hours each day.

I also got my laptop (finally) this week. I love it...it's gonna be so much easier than hauling my comp back and forth to college. So now that I'm completely in the hole, I guess I'm gonna have fun juggling rehearsals and a job this summer. It wouldn't be so bad if things were normal, but since Human Rites owns me until April for 4 hours 5 nights a week, things are gonna get interesting. Yep, that's right...Laura the techie is acting...in a mainstage of all things. But I'm looking forward to it...I think I have a lot of life experiences that will get a good home in this show.

I went to my high school yesterday to talk to the kids about doing theatre in college. It was actually a lot of fun. But I did find out that I apparently pissed off a certain guy two years ago because of a pyro effect that went wrong. He thinks that I was being cocky and unsafe, but it really was an accident. So, presumably, that's why I can't get a job at the Jefferson Center. So when I get back to Tech, I need to talk to Randy to figure out how to smooth this over. Welcome to theatre politics.

Other than that little bit of dissappointing information, things are pretty good. I'm feeling more up to the task of doing this shows next semester...and now that I have my lap top, I can show off my light renderings at the next Jacques Brel production meeting! LOL, not that they're as good as Lee's, but it was fun figuring out how to get PSP to do something it wasn't designed for.
