So I don't know what's up with this blog...half the time the archives aren't listed...and I know you guys miss being able to read every dumb thing Dana ever said. But in actuallity, if I wrote down every stupid thing out of his mouth, there would be no trees left. Maybe someone could figure out how to make paper out of crabs.

(hehe, sorry, you know I gotta pick on you even here...)

But anyways, I got a car last week. '99 Honda CR-V. It's sweet. So I'm gradually paying back my parents by painting the house. Not so sweet. I mean, it's good resume stuff, but damn that kitchen is huge. It's hard to squeeze in painting when I've resolved to sleep at least 12 hours each day.

I also got my laptop (finally) this week. I love it...it's gonna be so much easier than hauling my comp back and forth to college. So now that I'm completely in the hole, I guess I'm gonna have fun juggling rehearsals and a job this summer. It wouldn't be so bad if things were normal, but since Human Rites owns me until April for 4 hours 5 nights a week, things are gonna get interesting. Yep, that's right...Laura the techie is acting...in a mainstage of all things. But I'm looking forward to it...I think I have a lot of life experiences that will get a good home in this show.

I went to my high school yesterday to talk to the kids about doing theatre in college. It was actually a lot of fun. But I did find out that I apparently pissed off a certain guy two years ago because of a pyro effect that went wrong. He thinks that I was being cocky and unsafe, but it really was an accident. So, presumably, that's why I can't get a job at the Jefferson Center. So when I get back to Tech, I need to talk to Randy to figure out how to smooth this over. Welcome to theatre politics.

Other than that little bit of dissappointing information, things are pretty good. I'm feeling more up to the task of doing this shows next semester...and now that I have my lap top, I can show off my light renderings at the next Jacques Brel production meeting! LOL, not that they're as good as Lee's, but it was fun figuring out how to get PSP to do something it wasn't designed for.
