I think one of the most wonderful personality traits that anyone can have is to be able to take a horrible situation and smooth it into something fun and beautiful.
Jacob has this gift, and then some.
So I drove down to Tech last night after work to pack up, and Jacob and Jeremiah came through to help...by 2am my entire apartment was boxed up. Talk about having great friends. Then, first thing this morning, I hear Jacob's soothing voice on my phone, saying he's ready to come over and help me and my mom pack the truck. A few hours later, he's riding with me home, to help unload all my stuff here. So all in all, he sacrificed the good part of two days and one night for me. But on top of that, he was always so calm, so gentle, so happy...just having him there made what was going to be an insufferable two days into an actual honest-to-God good time. Everything went so quickly and easily.
After we threw all my belongings in the basement, he stayed for dinner. My parents seem to really like him, which is crucial, lol. Tomorrow is part 2...his mom is coming into town and I'll be going to dinner with them. *nervous smile*
So yeah. Wow. This guys rocks. What a great week!
So now just chilling for a few, catching up on things while watching some TV...there's some old Western on the Hallmark channel with Alan Rickman in it. Wierd...
