Warning: this blog entry contains unusually high levels of sweetness. Do not read if you have consumed a large amount of sugar in the last 24 hours; you may instead scroll down to the next section.
So yeah, what a wonderful weekend. After work I headed down to the burg and met Jacob at the bar he works at, and we hung out while he did his stuff for the show. Pretty cool time - most of the bands were pretty good, but the last one didn't know when to quit. So that was kind of annoying, but we left anyways, lol.
So here's one of the insufferable sweet parts that I warned you about. Saturday was so not a normal day in my life, lol. After continuing our DS9 marathon, we decided to bake cookies together. Baking. Cookies. Can you imagine me even being in a kitchen? And then, when I wasn't looking. he made a heart-shaped one for me. What guy does that? Especially in my life, lol. It was great...especially since we were also playing darts and listening to "The Streets" at the same time, lol. (You know, that white British rapper that does that "Fit, But You Know It" song.) What a crazy great wonderful day. But then the best part is that I convinced him to pull out his guitar and play for me. Now, I'm a sucker for musicians, and even more so for good ones, lmao. And Jacob has such a beautiful voice, both in speaking and singing. So he sang a few song from some of the earlier Tripleside albums, and it was really nice. *sigh* Maybe one day I'll get a song like that for me? Lol. ;-)
Today was also pretty laid back...we hung out for most of the day again, then me and Jeremiah hung out for a few and had dinner before I came back to Salem, where I'm sitting now typing this thing and munching on some left over cookies. *contented sigh*
It's crazy how fast things can change. I never thought I'd be here within just a few days. But I'm not complaining, lol. This was definately one of the best weekends I've had in awhile. Not so much for the stuff we did, even though it was adorably cute, but because it's been so nice to just spend a lot of time getting to know him. The more we're together, the more I like him.
So yeah, it's official: this one's a keeper.
Ok, the overwhelmingly sugary part is over. Everyone else can resume reading.
It also randomly turned into a great weekend for music! I got two CD's in the mail in the last few days. The first one was from No Fate, and as I was checking it over, I saw that they had thanked me in the CD booklet! Totally unexpected, but really awesome. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet, but if it's anything like the demo they sent me it's gonna rock. Then Lanie sent the Julien-K street team a compilation album with a J-K song on it, so I need to pop that in the CD player, too. Fun times!
So anyways, yeah...in other news, Jacob's 21st birthday is Wednesday, so for those of you in the area: Wednesday, 9:30, The Cellar. We'll be there until 11ish or so before we have to go do the radio show.
And that's all for now, from the First Lady of Jacobia. :-)
