So how about this weather? I think people think I'm kidding when I say, yes, it is possible to have tornadoes here in Virginia; we had two during the time I lived in Lynchburg. And then two more in the area today so far. Fortunately, I was in the basement all day being a dedicated tech for a group (first time...booyah) so the worst I had to deal with was the house right wall turning into a waterfall again.

I went down to Tech last night to listen to Micheal Badnarik speak. I have to admit, I had been following the Libertarian nominations and had originally supported two other nominees for the presidential race. But after seeing Badnarik in person...wow. Very straightfoward, very honest...not afraid to say, no, I don't agree with that. He did a wonderful job of explaining Libertarian principles. I really wish more people could get an opportunity to hear this view.

It drives me nuts that most people only think there's two options. A few quotes from the night: "What's the point of voting for the lesser of two evils, when either way, you still end up with evil?"

And "The only wasted vote is one cast for a candidate that does not have your respect." I do have some friends that are strong supporters of either the Republican or Democratic parties, and I know that they have paid attention, and are making informed, respectable decisions. But what kills me is those that just don't care...even not enough to vote. *sigh* Ok, I'll step off my soapbox now.

Anyways, and hour to go...
