I usually fill out the "song of the day" crap before I write my blog, and I know that I really just need to make an "I'm too lazy to upload cd covers" icon for all of these new songs I'm listening to. Anyways, this Celldweller song is on the Beta Cessions, which I just picked up this weekend, and it rocks.

Speaking of Celldweller, weekends, and rocking, the show was excellent. We got to Baltimore way ahead of schedule, but it was cool...eventually we got into the venue and Jacob met up with SNMNMNM (who rock because they guestlisted us) and I finally introduced myself to Klayton. He was a very cool dude. The show was great...SNMNMNM played a great show, even though it was the completely wrong line-up for them. But 51 Peg really enjoyed them, and I think a few in the crowd got into it, so it was cool. Spinebelt was pretty good, but maybe a bit overdriven. But compared to the other openers I've seen lately, hey, rock on. 51 Peg was amazing of course...Jeff did this crazy gargoyle crouching thing on the amps at one point that just was visually the coolest thing, especially with his eye make-up. I hope I got a good pic of that...I looked at my pictures briefly last night, and I think I got some good ones.

Celldweller rocked. They had a visually intensive show, which I'm sure would look better in a larger venue (The Royal was very snug...think cross between Attitudes and The Cellar...but overall I really dug the place, and the owner seemed to be a cool dude. Props to him. I need to link them up on RAM. I like venues that are good to bands. Yeah.) but it was cool in any case. Very dancable and hard out rock...what a great combination. I haven't moved like that so much in my life. Afterwards I got my pic taken with Klayton, and me and Jacob headed on back to his mom's.

The next day was very chill. We met Jacob's dad's half of the family at a very very nice Italian place for lunch. It was a huge, multi-coursed sit down meal, and I had probably the best salmon in my life. I think everyone liked me. Well, I'm fairly certain no one outright hated me, but I guess we'll see, eh? It was one of the more nerve racking things I've done in awhile. Ah well.

So, I'm back at work. Today starts my several weeks of no life - work in the morning, rehearsal at night. After I get done here I've gotta grab a bit of food and head over to VWCC and start sitting in on Antigone...
