So if you ever need to get professional photos done, don't go to Wally World. Me and Jacob are trying to get some done for his grandma, so we went last week to check it out. They were busy, that was cool, so we made an appointment for yesterday. We got there about 20 minutes early, so we waited around while the dude finished up the kid he was working with. He finished about 5 minutes after our appointment time, but come to find out, he still had to do the other child of this woman he was working with. We asked how long it was going to take, he said however long it took him, so we shopped for awhile, came back, and waited for another 40 minutes before finally leaving. What terrible service. I tried to find a manager but couldn't, so their gonna be getting a nice letter from me this week. I don't have time for that.
However, the day improved. Afterwards I dropped Jacob off at WUVT to do his show. He had Jupiter Sunrise on as guests to play some songs, which rocked. I had gone over to hang out with Dana for awhile, so we listened in as I showed him some blog stuff then chilled for awhile. After the show, we went back to the 423 and ate dinner with the band (Drew makes good spaghetti, btw) and Jacob started teaching me how to play a very wierd video game that is very addicting. I feel cool now, lmao. We went over to the venue, and after several incidents (hehehe - cute! Love you!) that proved I'm actually a worthwhile manager and not just the "girlfriend of the lead singer" the night kicked off.
Now, ok, wow. This isn't just me saying this because I love my Jacob. The band rocked. Going full band and electric was just phenomenal. So much energy, so much life in that set now. And Jacob surprised me; he had told me they weren't going to do Running Awake because they hadn't practiced it, but secretly they had - even if Jeff did accidentally give it away during sound check, lol. Mike was there filming the set, too, and I'm so glad he did - Jacob's doing a class project where he's going to be making a music video for Closer to the Shore, and might be using some of that footage from last night in it. I hope he does, because, wow...totally unexpectedly he came out of his shell and just went off on on that song. (Lol, he's not gonna like this part) He's usually a shy person, so he kinda keeps everything inward during shows. But last night, he opened his eyes and really started to sing to the audience - it's like the mini-Jay Gordon inside of him was starting to come out. Hehehe - I've never been more proud to be dating him. I couldn't tell you how hot he was singing last night. *kisses*
So now I'm back to the boredom that is my job. *sigh* Got a few good emails last night, though. More good stuff coming from RAM soon. Maybe will have a few distro deals shortly. 'Bout time.
