Today marked the beginning of an era I was dreading the return of:
Having to wake up even earlier to scrape the damn ice of my car.
*sigh* Fortunately I wasn't late this morning, but damn...I wish we had a three car garage. Anyways, today should be quiet. Not a lot of A/V needs, and the contact for this group says no more paper work - I'm wondering if they saw the bill from yesterday, heh. Almost $600, and that's after a few 50% discounts on a lot of their work. Yeesh.
So this morning I've been doing some work that Rafe asked me to do for tomorrow; carting up stuff, moving things around. We seem to be missing one of our TV's, so I'm currently trying to track that down. Just because that seems easier then having to pull another one from the basement. It's bad enough to have to extra TV's down there, but for some reason we also keep the dead moniters on the bottom of those carts, so those things are twice as heavy to move. It's usually not an issue, being that I've only moved them like two or three times since I've been here, but I'm going to suggest that we put those dead tvs somewhere else after this, lol. It's almost as bad as moving moniters for a computer lab.
I also get to play with one of our theatrical lights for the first time ever at this job, lmao. Even if it is just putting a Source 4 on a floor mount. Hehehe...ah, well...
So after this I'm going to head down to Tech to see Jacob. Apparently there's a PPV on tonight, so we're gonna watch that, lol. And tomorrow is my day off, so I'm heading over to VWCC to meet with B about the show I'm doing on December 4th. This guy is very particular about his lighting, but I like it that way. He sent like, two pages of specific instructions, which is awesome. So I'll be able to preprogram everything. We'll have to move some equipment around on stage since the set is being built already for the January show, but Jeremy and Chris are going to help with that. So I just need to get a plot to them by the end of the week. I really love these overhire jobs. I wish I could get enough of them in lighting, painting, and webdesign/promotion to live on, lol. You would think with all of the things I do I'd have more. Oh well.
So I have some good music coming to me in the mail soon that I'm gonna talk about, but I'm gonna go do it in Delectable News, since that's what that blog is there for, lol.
