Another cooking success: introducing Laura's garlic lime pasta.
(Those of you who know me well know that I'm a terrible cook, and that I'm always attempting to create my own meals with little success... But today, things were different. If you're like me you love carbohydrates...pasta in particular.)
I started boiling some pasta in water and immediately added some margarine, salt, and garlic powder. While that was boiling, I rummaged around my kitchen for things to make a good sauce. I ended up mixing a few teaspoons of the boiling broth with a bit of vegetable oil, a splash of garlic powder, a splash of oregano, and a bit of lime juice. Once I strained the pasta I poured this mixture over it (still in the strainer) and mixed it up (since I just wanted a hint of flavor). I suppose if you wanted a bit of a stronger taste you could have saved part of the sauce to put directly in the boil.
But yeah, good stuff!
