Sometimes theatre frustrates me, but then I get images like this and it's worth it. I rock.

So yeah, tech went muuuuuch better tonight. We got through everything ok, and I'm pretty satisfied with everything now. So that's good. I had a great stage manager, and all of the professors were really nice. Even the one who was busting my chops the most asked me tonight if I would be doing their December show. So that's cool.

Work is getting more interesting though. My boss broke his thumb over the weekend so I got more work dumped on me. Ah well. It's almost over.

Had kind of a crazy convo with someone else today. I was talking about all the problems we had had in Radford, and he asked me "Have you ever had a perfect show?" and I'm like, no, of course not. And I kid you not, he said "After all the shows you've done, if you've never had a perfect show, then your standards are too high."

And that, my friends, is what seperates community theatre from good theatre.

I popped a few up on my deviant art account last night: valdyr.deviantart.com/gallery

I'll probably have a few more up on my lh.com site later this week.

And thanks. :-D

I think your quote about the difference between community theatre and good theatre has just gone on my "favorite theatre quotes of all time" list.
