Wow, it was soooo nice to be painting again! I didn't even really do much that was "decorative", more of the measuring, taping, and basing, but it all came out really well. We're doing the kids' rooms, so we did this really awesome striped wall that I'm itching to try out here. Learned a few neat tricks today too that will undoubtedly make painting easier in the future.

Had a great time catching up with Lisa, too. She's now in the "oldest friends I still talk to" catagory since she's known me since my sophomore year in high school. She's always been very caring towards me, and though I don't think 'role model' is the correct term, me and her are a lot alike and I almost kind of feel she's sort of "paving the way" for me as she's always a few steps ahead and can relate to any situation I'm in.

So I spilled it to her; the good, the bad, and the ugly from the past couple of years, and I really appreciated the understanding and the non-judgemental attitude she showed me. Made me feel more comfortable about things, and also, like with my talk with Lou, made me feel like I've got a better handle on things than I originally thought, and know that I've got good people behind me as I do this.

We talked about some upcoming shows I might be involved in with her in the near future, so that's cool. All around a damn good day.
