Let's see...so much to talk about...but at the moment, it's all kinda floating around in lala land...
Well, to start, Alchemy @ Nation is now over. Last night was the closing party, and I've never seen so many people there. Granted, I've only been in town for 8 or so months, but I am going to miss that building...lots of things, both good and bad, have happened to me there. I guess it's wierd that I tend to miss places more than I do people...but it's probably because people can come back, or can come with you...but places...they're just gone...and sometimes I feel like you leave a little bit of your own energy behind when they go.
However, they did announce the new venue as promised, which will be Club Envy, formally known as DC Tunnel over in NE. Never been there, but the place is being remodeled, and the pics they showed looked nice. They're also going to have a fourth room (in addition to the mainstage / dancefloor, the club side, and Alias) specifically for smaller band shows. That in itself is very exciting for everyone; more chances for bands to play Alchemy, and without taking any playing time away from the DJs. So I'm currently trying to push in on that...I'd love to start booking shows there. Anyways, the new venue opens up first week in August...so I'll post more about how that goes.
Went back to work for a few days this week. It's hard feeling so weak after being sick, but I managed ok. I hope I'll be good as new by the time I have to start working Fringe. I heard some information about some of my coworkers shifting around a bit, which may lead to a supercool opportunity or two for me. So more on that as it becomes official.
In Tenebris is playing at Midnight tomorrow (as mentioned below) and while I'm not technically the promoter for this show, they're good people, and I will be vending tomorrow night as well. So come down and dance with me...
I would like to take this time to mention Mike in my blog. That is all. (See, I read your LJ.)
I got into a fight with some bitch in the parking garage today before work. It was actually kind of funny, afterwards. It's times like these when I'm glad I look like a dangerous social outcast. Yay pink hair!
Anyways...been working this evening on the new RAM site. I've almost gotten the new artist section finished, and I think I'll go ahead and pop that up once it's done, even though the rest of the site is still in progress. That at least gives people something to munch on while they're waiting for the rest of the sections to go live.
But for now...I'm just drinking a beer...and trying to talk myself into doing something that I've had my mind set on all week...*blushes and winks*
